Pros
As a company, I've personally found Reeves Independent to be rewarding. This is having served a very lengthy stint at a large corporate financial organisation for over a decade and a half prior to Reeves, and done so successfully from the outset. I think the biggest thing you can bring to the workplace (to any workplace) is yourself. This is a key thing to recognise first and foremost. If you have the right attributes and approach, strive to do well and succeed, you're going to be recognised. Even appreciated - which is not something that can be said for all companies. While this is a company experiencing growth at scale, the emphasis on the workforce isn't lost on the CEO. It's not a given for example, that you'll find a leader (or leaders) who advocates a good workplace culture - the right balance of hard work while working in an environment which isn't overly mundane or stale without fun. A decent ethos that's been consistently promoted. The workforce consists of a great bunch of people. One thing I've always advocated throughout my professional career is that a company is only as good as it's people. Reeves is brimming with talent, drive and energy, with people who all strive to do well. This undoubtedly contributes to the success.
Cons
Personally, there aren't many downsides to discuss. It's important to state that this view comes from someone with a vast workplace experience, and who appreciates each individual will have their own views and experience at Reeves. The single observation I would offer in light of issues which have surfaced recently is that no company is perfect. That being said, the important point here is how certain issues are addressed at Reeves. Given the demand on a business like Reeves and the demand on it's workforce, such issues aren't necessarily always on the forefront of the right people's minds. This is a fair and valid observation. With the above, there's room for growth as both individuals and collectively as a company. We collectively need to be able to play a greater part in helping people who are struggling or who have issues they'd like to be able to address, and certain key messages don't always reach the right people in the right way where this lacks.
