Pros

Colleagues were amazing people, but the majority left or were fired.

Cons

Working at this company has been one of the most disappointing professional experiences of my career. Leadership is disorganized and lacks any coherent strategy. Job security is virtually nonexistent with over 10 people were terminated during my time there. One incident that speaks volumes: a developer was let go after returning from a two-week vacation. The CEO justified the decision by saying, “no one died” during the absence. This was said in a team meeting, with the developer present. No one responded; fear and silence define the culture. Employee benefits are minimal to nonexistent. Raises are rare, and bonuses are hardly given and only to those who do overtime. Vacation bonuses have been eliminated, and holiday bonuses amount to a token $100. The HR function is ineffective and disengaged. Any attempt to raise concerns is dismissed with the tired excuse of, “That’s startup life.” In truth, it’s just poor management. Promotions are often tied to working excessive overtime and weekends, yet they come without formal recognition. Many are symbolic, delivered via Slack messages or internal documentation, with no public acknowledgment or compensation. The CEO thinks collaborators are simply there to be "used and then fired." The turnover rate reflects this mindset. Morale is extremely low, and the atmosphere is tense and unsupportive.

Pros

Flexible working hours are good

Cons

The management structure is deeply flawed, creating a challenging and often counterproductive work environment. Leadership lacks both the qualifications and the temperament needed to effectively guide the team, particularly within the sales department. The individual currently heading sales not only demonstrates a poor understanding of basic sales strategy and team development but also fosters a toxic atmosphere through confrontational behavior and a lack of emotional intelligence. This has led to low morale, high turnover, and an overall decline in team performance.
