Pros
They finally have someone in charge of sales that actually has leadership qualities and who actually comes from a background in sales. CRO very understanding and wants to understand the roadblock before responding. When providing guidance it is clear they want their people to feel confident. It is clear they don't want you to walk away questioning whether I keep going to them for help. Unfortunate though because it is clear the new CRO and sales leader don't see eye to eye on many things.
Cons
No career path. Inconsistent compensation practices, and WFH policies. No annual raises. Commission resturcured multiple times, rarely based off realistic or acheivable #s. I started out as a BDR and ended doing enterprise level sales at the same base pay and a worse commision payout. Direct salers leadership will contradict new CRO leadership style. Sales leader is very dismissive of issues. Does not believe in serviant leadership. Will often provide responses to roadblocks that make you feel stupid or inadequate. The answer they will provide will often not even answer the question you are asking as they rarely let you finish explaining the circumstance you are needing help with. Despite the amount of people that are set up for failure or left in the wake of the sales leader I don't think they will be leaving anytime soon but it would be wise for the health and progression of the team if they no longer have to report or work directly under them. Hard for sales team to see growth and opportunity when working with someone who lacks any level of emotional inteligence or positive leadership. It is hard to be motivated when the company has done no wrong. The amount of reorgs that happened and I don't think leadership one time took it on the chin and owned up to it **Correction - The CRO read the survey we filled out and acknowledge it his first week on the team even though he wasn't there for the poor feedback we provided he took responsibility and committed to doing better.
