Pros
RentMoola has been a Small Organization Through and Through for 7 years. There are many hats to wear, as with any small high growth startup. As one might imagine with any business that is growing fast and funded by investors, every role and component of the operation is reviewed to ensure it fits into the plan and into the vision. For this reason hard work and out of the box thinking is highly valued and has the potential of being handsomely rewarded. Many large organizations have their processes and visions worked out years in advance making employees another cog in the wheel. Not that having direction or being alleviated of the hefty responsibility of creating your own path is a bad thing, but it is not for everyone or at least not for everyone's entire career. If you are the type of person that feels like you have a unique work ethic, imagination, skill set, perspective, drive, passion or a mix of many of these any other unique characteristics then this is the company for you. With a small family like team, every single contribution is recognized straight from the top. This is truly a great place to make a name for oneself, or to build something with a sense of purpose. RentMoola helps tenants do better. Do better at paying rent, leveraging their credit, insuring their things and ultimately maximizing their worthiness as a renter. Helping people do better is a purpose that is worth getting behind.
Cons
In fairness, lack of personnel with small companies can sometimes mean more work. But this con can quickly be turned into a pro if you think about it as an opportunity. Instead of being told how to do something, perhaps there is a more efficient, more productive way of doing things. The world is truly your oyster when it comes to taking advantage of the freedom afforded by being the master of your domain. Every person within a small organization like this is their own CEO. Building something exponentially is not an opportunity everyone gets in their career. This is a chance to take personal pride in your contribution to building out your own slice of the business. It is not for everyone, but the people it is for will have something to be very proud of for the rest of their lives.
