Cons
A terribly run company for an employee. Straight from the get go there’s crossed wires in terms of what you’re doing and how you’re doing it, terrible training systems that don’t support an employee over the longer term, with absolutely nothing written down ie manuals or induction templates. Management somehow can’t keep track of their employees leave so people are just frequently AWOL, leading to frequent staffing shortages and an inability to be able to get leave as a new start as nepotism runs wild throughout the company and when you do it’s met with a scold or disappointing tone from management. Experienced sexual harassment from the direct manager and when going to report this behaviour, learned that this isn’t the first time it’s happened within the company with previous situations being resolved internally without consequences. An on call system that feels boarder line illegal having you consistently doing 5-10 hours of overtime on a rotating roaster for a week (Friday to Friday) where you must have a laptop and the ability to answer an influx of calls, significantly hindering your ability to do anything during these periods, all to receive $50 after tax and super has been deducted, this is a mandatory expectation of the role that’s significantly and purposefully undersold within the interview process. This expectation extending through all holidays and no support staff on during these periods.
