Pros

Pay was on time(unless you believe there would really be a bonus). They preached safety, unless it interferes with production. There are great ways to move up in the company if you compromise your values or are just naturally a scumbag.

Cons

Quality of life. Housekeeping is at a point where it is down right dangerous. Management is about licking the almighty CEO scrotum. The plant(ation) I worked at was anti-military. I was penalized due to my two deployments while working there.

Pros

It is a really good place to work with a highly supportive environment. The coworkers are great, team-oriented, and easy to collaborate with.

Cons

Maintaining work-life balance can be challenging during peak outage seasons due to extended hours and frequent travel

Pros

The shift supervisor role consists of busy days with a lot of varying priorities. You are responsible for emissions regulation, work permits, specialized permits, managing changing plant conditions, and administrative personnel requirements. This can be a high-octane role but has a more relaxed period on night shift and when outages aren't occurring (planned shutdowns for maintenance). Expect to drive plant performance and employee development. Many opportunities for professional and personal development if you put the time in.

Cons

The plant culture will play a huge role in your quality of life, since most of your time will be at the plant. This can be good or bad. Quite a few managers do not engage or develop personnel due to various qualities. You will have to do the leg work in fostering a change for personnel development.
