Pros

I've worked with other roofing/contracting outfits in the past, and being a part of ridge valley is 10x more rewarding: there aren't many other companies in the industry that pay W2, provide benefits, and 401k plans, and to be honest, thats the main reason I'm here. The energy of Derric, the owner is infectious, I am always excited to hear him, John or Matt Speak. The sales team is made up of honest, hard working and articulate individuals who are backed by a strong infrastructure in the home office. Working for this company relative to other contractors in the region is a dream.

Cons

honestly havent been here long enough to truly say anything about cons. Fuel Prices I guess..

Pros

The training program upon entry is detailed and thorough. The training pay made the transition to commission sales very comfortable and easy. Once the commissions started rolling in, it's more money than I've ever made! I will make over $100k in my first year with the company. In my second year, that number should definitely be higher. Company culture is fantastic; ownership and management are young, but experienced, and highly energetic. Their selling system is unlike anything else I've seen. I wish I would have found this years ago! There are lots of sales bonuses and incentives, including an annual trip (all-inclusive to a tropical destination). We went to Mexico this past year, and I made the trip in my first year here.

Cons

You've got to be willing to work hard and put in the effort to succeed. Hours are long during the summer, but there is a lot of flexibility with the schedule. Sales meetings are early in the morning, but they are so valuable! The leaders have high expectations, and can be tough. It's definitely not a position for everybody, but for me it has been an amazing experience.
