Pros

They are organized, have procedures in place

Cons

They are organized to work u to the ground and pay u peanuts. They found loophole in the Law where as long as u make certain amount of money per hour they dont need to pay u minimum wage. Also if you dont make any extra tip u will barely make any money from the tip pool because they r paying everyone from that tip pool so when u split the amount of people there is not much left. Any extra tip, they take 40% and u get to keep 60% of that extra tip which is something that customer gave to YOU for YOUR good service. Management always comes to eat and they r expecting you to give them full attention which means u r forced to disregard paying customers bc of them.

Thank you for your feedback, and we're glad our organization and procedures came through as a strength. We do need to respectfully but clearly address several of the claims made here, as they do not accurately reflect RDG's compensation practices or values. RDG's wage and tip structures are fully compliant with all applicable federal and state labor laws. We do not exploit loopholes — we operate with full transparency and integrity in how our team members are compensated. Every guest-facing team member who contributes to the overall guest experience participates in our tip structure, which is a common and legal practice in the hospitality industry. We take compensation seriously and are proud to offer above-market pay across our venues. Any team member with specific questions or concerns about their compensation is always encouraged to speak directly with our HR team — we welcome those conversations and address them thoroughly. Regarding management dining — our leaders are expected to uphold the same exceptional guest experience standards as every team member, and we do not condone any practice that compromises service to our paying guests. We always welcome direct dialogue and encourage anyone with concerns to reach out to us personally. We wish you well.

Pros

As a Food Runner, I enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that keeps me active and helps me improve my multitasking skills. I appreciate the teamwork involved, as I work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and managers to ensure excellent service. The position also allows me to interact with guests and contribute to a positive dining experience. Additionally, I have gained valuable knowledge about food, menu items, and restaurant operations. Finally, this role has helped me develop important skills such as communication, time management, organization, and problem-solving, which support my professional growth.

Cons

One challenge of working as a Food Runner is the physically demanding nature of the job, which requires being on my feet for long periods and carrying heavy trays throughout the shift. Another challenge is the fast-paced environment during busy hours, which can be stressful and requires strong multitasking and time-management skills to ensure guests receive their food promptly.
