Not really much to say
Pros
- Every year was different, and I say that in a good way. - Very cool industry, with a passionate audience and community - The brand is well loved, and wide reaching. - Accountability and ownership is rewarded; for some that's great, others may struggle. - You're exposed to a lot more than your job title may suggest, again for some that's exciting, others may struggle. - There's a strong sense of internal community within the company - Salaries are generally on the generous end of market rates, and when the company grows, employees are rewarded and take part in that growth together. - As the company moves towards efficiency, the c-level have been deliberately transparent, and carry a genuine sense of accountability and sensitivity when making difficult decisions.
Cons
- Motion capture and animation is a very specialised field, and folks who join and aren't passionate about creative technology will struggle. - Management has deep domain experience and carry a sense of urgency across all business functions, and that's an advantage for the company overall. However, some people may struggle to operate in this environment, and it's important to learn to work with this rather than against it. - The last year or so has been defined by efficiency, like all companies. This has, in turn, meant there have been redundancies, but I know for a fact that Rokoko has carried themselves with far more integrity than many other companies. However, it's never nice to go through such activities on a cultural-level.
Pros
- Flexible work-life balance - Good autonomy when far from C-level management organizationally and physically (office in Athens)
Cons
- Stressful atmosphere with high turnover due to frequent layoffs and challenging business situation - Toxic culture driven by inexperienced and unprofessional management - Management takes things personally and fosters an “us vs. them” mentality, which affects team morale - No meaningful change despite extensive feedback— lack in business performance as well as employee dissatisfaction is attributed to external factors - Favoritism toward certain employees, creating an unequal and divisive work environment
