Working from home. Pay was above average in the past but there have been cutbacks in recent times.
Cons
Major con is RT's faithlessness with contracts. You might think you have a contract with them but they will try and unilaterally change it and then act as if you're a problem for not acceding to their demands. This has happened to several RT employees and ends with the employee accepting poorer conditions or leaving the company. Many of the Russian writers and editors have poor English. This makes communication diffucult and can lead to sloppy errors and protracted, distracting conversations that slow down the work flow. The news organization lacks strong editorial direction, frequently changing its approach and what it is looking for. The changes are usually not communicated in a clear manner to all relevant workers, rather they ripple across the company in a random manner.
