Do not join this company even if this is your last available option. This organization have a reputation for destroying CV's & sometimes wrecking your entire career. Basically it is an insurance company masquerading as a pharmaceutical company ie the the organization believe in hire & fire. You are a survivor if you last 6 months & a champion if you last 9 months. Usually they hire the entire herd and monitor which one is working out for them, if anyone is satisfactory then ok otherwise everyone will be dumped. So let me explain how the entire process happen. Usually you are required to register your products in a market before you start the sales. The registration time as you know is different for different markets, the fastest you can do is in the Francophone markets which can take a minimum of 7 months under fast track( if ur documentation is proper & no queries are raised), the rest being more tedious some going upto 3 years. Now the management dont want to wait till that 7 months and want you to sell within the first 3 months of your joining( without registration, without even travelling- yeah u heard that right) by whatever means. It does not matter if the method you apply is unethical or downright immoral. The basic explanation given is that registrations are some sort of scam run by marketing department and they will drop lot of fancy words like spot selling, name patient basis and whole lot of other stuff. So the next question is why they dont want to go for registration. Thats because their entire regulatory process is for namesake only. For a company which claims to be among the top in narcotics & psychotropics, they are hardly able to sell any narcotic products. The major business they do come from some OTC generic drugs. They dont have any sort of documents with them for most of their products be it bio equivalence studies, stability reports or the bare minimum dossiers but their ego wont allow to accept it and hence blame the marketing for incompetence. Essentially 99 % of their business come from just 2 markets ie South Africa & Russia (thats because they have some products registered there & do a lot of contract manufacturing there).Not to mention this company is more than 20 years old yet dependent on just this two markets. If they are hiring you for any other market they are just gambling with you. Dont expect any help or advice from your seniors especially the head of departments, they will be busy with their politics and ( if you are not the boot licker category) busy planning how to dispose you. The HR dept primarily acts the hit squad whose purpose in that organization is to harass you, threaten you and interfere in your personal business(Yes you heard that right). Finally about their products, they claim to be world class but they are just like the other cheap quality generics you find in the market & they want to compete with the likes of Hospira & Mylan( pricing) in markets where they have zero brand recognition. So finally once again if you are getting an offer from this company, stay away for the sake of your career and mental stability.
