Pros

Rusty George Creative has created an environment focused on collaboration and a willingness to push the envelope. An entire team with a say into the entire process of not only each project but the direction and growth of the company. I feel valued and at the same time pushed in a positive way to grow my knowledge and skills to better myself and the work we do. A company that also values work-life balance with a preference towards working in house rather than off-site, this creates a collaborative environment that pushes us all to create the best work we can.

Cons

At times it can be a lot of work at once with a very quick turnaround. On occasion, you will also have to do work outside of your skillset and knowledge base, if you aren't willing to buckle down, stay a little extra or learn skills outside of what you already know, and in a quick manner, this probably is not the environment for you.

Pros

Very positive and collaborative work environment where unique, out of the box thinking is encouraged! Opportunities to grow, surrounded by a talented and knowledgeable team who push you to be the best at what you do. Management is forward thinking and has a “lead by example” approach, encouraging staff to be as creative as we want and giving us the freedom to run with it! They care about their employees and it shows. It is a busy, fast paced and ever-changing workplace where every day is a new adventure. This is an agency with engaging work, a great team and amazing company culture!

Cons

It can be a lot of work in a fast-paced environment and industry. You will learn and challenge yourself while pumping out rewarding work. If you aren’t willing to push yourself or go the extra mile, this is probably not the place for you.

Pros

The people I worked with were incredibly talented and hardworking. We worked well together when we were able to collaborate and tap into our own expertise.

Cons

Despite assurances of female co-ownership within the company, it became evident early on that the involvement of the CEO/Principal's wife was a facade for inclusivity. Instead, it served as a strategy for attracting young talent who would be forced to accept excessive workloads and inadequate compensation. Company leadership also lacked project and time management skills and neglected to prioritize the well-being and work-life balance of its employees. The absence of a formal HR department (the wife acted as HR) fostered an atmosphere where employees felt unable to voice concerns, particularly regarding the Principal's poor treatment of female staff members. Additionally, financial concerns were frequently aired during team meetings (this was inappropriate). And the Principal regularly made unrealistic commitments to clients without adequate internal resources, resulting in frequent failures to meet expectations. Although the team possessed significant potential to deliver high-quality work, it was difficult to overcome the Principal's professional insecurities, hot-and-cold communication style, and ever-shifting priorities.
