Pros
I was called by a recruiter who told me I was underpaid in my position. She talked up work at The Ruth Group, how it pays more and why this is a great place to grow my career. This and the interviews went great, even one with the owner who is a little odd but nice. I enjoyed being the one sought by a firm and tried to get my boss to match an offer from The Ruth Group. She told me no, so I left a larger firm to join Ruth. That is where the Pros end.
Cons
Nothing promised was real. I was left to figure out what to do and was often yelled at by people with VP titles. I was surrounded by other new or recent hires, very few who had any experience. The cared little about anything but themselves. No structure. No organization. Chaos on a daily basis. Constant turnover with staff planning to leave and then doing it. It is apparent this is a place for those afraid to work elsewhere. If you are good at dealing with rants and raves that can occur anytime, go for it. But this is not what the recruiter promised. Yes, I was offered and paid more money. It was not worth it. Job hiring people looked at my Ruth Group exeprience as nothing important. I went back to a larger firm and have found some good opportunities there.
