In my time here, I have found Rutherford Management Company to be an amazing workplace that truly values its employees. One of the most notable aspects is the emphasis on maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The company understands the importance of allowing its staff to thrive both professionally and personally, which has significantly contributed to a positive and productive work environment. Furthermore, Rutherford Management Company places a strong emphasis on career growth and development. Employees are encouraged to pursue their professional goals, and the company provides ample opportunities for advancement through training programs, mentorship, and ongoing support. Moreover, I have been fortunate to be part of a wonderful community of colleagues at Rutherford. The people I work with are not only supportive and collaborative but also genuinely caring. This sense of camaraderie creates a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels valued and respected. What sets Rutherford Management Company apart is its genuine commitment to the communities it serves. The company actively engages in initiatives that make a positive impact, demonstrating a sincere dedication to quality service. Lastly, I must mention the training provided by Rutherford Management Company. From day one, I felt well-prepared and equipped to excel in my role, thanks to the thorough training and resources available.

This company is growing quickly, but that growth hasn’t translated into better support for the employees doing the work. Teams are stretched thin, workloads feel unsustainable, and there’s little follow through from leadership when burnout or staffing concerns are raised. Employee turnover is high. Instead of a collaborative or solution focused environment, blame and gossip at the leadership level seem to be normalized, which takes a real toll on morale. At one point, concerns about employee treatment in the Walnut Creek office were shared with ownership, but unfortunately no meaningful changes followed. Many of the same issues continue today, particularly in how director level leadership shows up and communicates. With stronger leadership training, clearer communication, and more accountability specifically for the managing director and director of operations, this could be a very different workplace. Until that happens, it’s hard to recommend this company as a place to build a healthy, long term career.
