Pros

The vast array of tasks that I did has been really beneficial to my CV. The staff are really good people. Great stepping stone on to better things. I have learnt so much about the training sector and myself.

Cons

Pay and benefits are non existent compared to what is asked of you. Causes a high rate of staff turnover. If a more competitive benefits package was offered and more investment in to staff, then this would be significantly reduced. Staff turnover causes massive issues for learners. Apprentices stuck for many months without tutors, SFLW students also signed up to courses we didn't have a tutor for. Facilities not fit for purpose, not an environment conducive to learning. This however varies throughout the branches. Very much a sink or swim attitude. Limited support provided/accountability. I could have been teaching my class circus tricks for a year and no one would have known. Vacuum of experience due to high staff turnover which means getting answers to important questions takes a significant amount of time. Relying on overworked upper management to get back to you. This is a private training organisation, so there's very much a feeling about the place that the learner comes second to the bottom line. Investment in learners/people is next to nothing. Culture of short term solutions and no long term vision. Doesn't seem as if they have known any different.

Pros

No manager in office so did whatever.

Cons

Communication is terrible and no one tells you anything ever. Pay is absolutely nothing and the work they expect you to do sometimes is ridiculous. Staff turnover is embarrassing, new people coming and going every week. Only 10 days of annual leave you can choose from the rest are set company closures, didn't even mention that in my contract. Rutledge think they're class even though I'd never send my worst enemy there for a job or a qualification. Some people get on like they're teens in school with some of the drama that goes on and its so embarrassing. Complete disaster of a workplace DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Pros

Can be performance based dependant on manager or branch

Cons

There is no need for pay scale as "nobody is top of the pay scale"
