Pros

This company recognizes that its people are important to their success. They are continually working to ensure they provide the best benefits in the industry including healthcare and 401k as well as a flexible work/life balance work day. In an industry that is nearly stagnant this company is dynamic and is constantly evolving to grow its business. That growth comes with ample opportunities. Senior management refuses to rely on old, tired processes and takes feedback from all levels to ensure they are constantly adapting and ahead of the curve. Year over year growth and a desire to dominate the tax market sets them apart from all other firms, nationally as well as globally. And we are global. Come for the work but stay because you are treated fairly but more importantly you are treated as if you are a client because the firm doesn't exist without its staff and leadership understands this.

Cons

I believe this industry gave birth to the style know as "business casual" and unlike the pager it refuses to go away. This company still fosters a business casual dress code and for me it's their biggest Con. The dress policy does not reflect the dynamic culture, goals, and philosophy this company believes in. It's probably the older generation (no offense) having trouble adopting the idea that jeans are okay in a work environment. I'm sure they will SOON come around.

Pros

Culture is great amongst principle and executive team members. The work is not difficult if you have prior experience in property tax. Benefits are good. Great promotion track if you are willing to play the politics.

Cons

Political environment. Senior Consultants do not mind throwing newer people under the bus for their mistakes. Boundaries are not respected. You are expected to know everything with no real formal training, they do provide some training for the first few weeks but then it drops off and everything needs to be self taught. Management has favorites and you will know instantly.
