Pros

No evenings No holidays No weekends

Cons

Office manager (Char) uses fear and intimidation as her idea of leadership. Everyone is afraid of retaliation. There is no one to go to with issues but her. If you bring up concerns or have suggestions she will get angry and dismiss you. Also, there is a staff member (male) who make you feel very uncomfortable yet management allows them to work there very confusing. I couldn't continue to work there and if SCA continues to allow the current management to operate they way they do, they will never be able to retain staff. It would be nice if the upper management would send evals to the current staff or find the time to sit and as questions. They'd be shocked to learn what is happening at this surgery center. I was hired for full time, yet hours were never filled and we'd be sent home early on a daily basis I was forced to find a second job- and untimely ended up quitting. The schedule is a disaster and patient are constantly cancelled- such a disservice to the patients.

Pros

Fun but professional work environment. First job I don’t wake up and dread going to. Love my teammates and surgeons! The surgeons have a much better mindset here than at the hospital.

Cons

Some “favoritism” goes on, but I think that’s anywhere you work.
