SCORR Marketing has the foundation to be a great workplace. It’s a women-led organization with deep Midwest roots and a team of highly skilled marketers and subject matter experts. The company claims strong values and shows signs of innovation—though this often manifests as chasing shiny objects rather than driving meaningful progress and results.
Cons
Unfortunately, the toxic culture deeply undermines any positives. The environment is unstable, with frequent layoffs and poor communication from leadership. Trust is lacking across the board, even in HR. Much of the leadership and management team has only ever worked at SCORR, which contributes to a lack of professional maturity, limited external perspective, and diversity. The culture encourages cliques, favoritism, and aggressive behavior, making it one of the most difficult and toxic workplaces I’ve experienced in my professional career. Feedback and concerns routinely are disregarded and brushed aside until the next problem arises. Many of the positive reviews on this platform appear to be part of a reputation management strategy rather than genuine reflections of employee experiences.
