Flexibility, trust and autonomy within reason. No backstabbing, internal politics, red tape, or unnecessary drama and nonsense with internal employees. Alternative work arrangements. Base compensation, PTO and paid holidays.
Cons
Smaller book of business and existing candidate database. Lesser known name and brand. If you're looking for structure and hierarchy or established routine and don't like to carve your own path, probably not the place for you.
