Great Company, Great People - Anonymous employee SEND Transportation Employee Review

-Pay is pretty competitive for the required skills and the location -Company culture is really important to them and it shows -The management is great, some of the best people I've ever worked for -The health insurance policy is good -Company is small so your voice really matters here -NEVER a dull moment working in logistics.. don't worry you won't be bored! -Everyone who works there is great, awesome people and fun to work with. -I always felt like I could really be myself here and didn't need to pretend to be a worker drone.

I don't have any negatives to share. The only thing I could consider is their current PTO policy feels too restrictive for me - but I have family in three other states so a lot of PTO is more important to me than it might be for others. And can't even honestly say the PTO policy is bad because they have plans to improve it and potentially move to discretionary PTO at some point. Which is just another great thing about this company is that they listen to what their employees want and really take their opinions and wants into consideration.

SEND is a small family run trucking brokerage, the owners really care about their employees as people so much so that when two of the owners retired the remaining two turned the company into an Employee owned company but even prior to that they offer full benefits retirement planning (and they put good social pressure on everyone to make sure they are investing in retirement) I've seriously gained weight from the amount of food that fed to employees all in a good happy spirit of treating employees like family. I have truly enjoyed working at SEND every day - it very much has the feeling of being a tech start up but in a great way without any overly competitiveness or greedy bosses, just the chill lets all work together to change the industry with intuitive thoughtful creative solutions to every day problems.

the hours can be tough work starts promptly at 7 am, also we have a weekend work rotation so that no one person gets stuck working every weekend which is super cool but kinda stinks when its your weekend - but even with that the leadership all understands and works hard to make sure that working the weekend isn't miserable - and employees get very fair compensation for any overtime work .
