Pros

I had the chance to work on several large-scale events and celebrations, developing proposal and pitching skills and learning to negotiate with executive level stakeholders. I learned so much about business and how to conduct myself in a corporate media environment that appreciates creativity. I spoke with high level professionals from all over the world, and grew in confidence and professionalism with the support of the management and CEO. The team are all incredibly smart and varied, from all walks of life, which adds to it being a great place to learn about partnerships and sales. If you put the work in, you will be rewarded, and there is plenty of scope to go far.

Cons

The pressure can be intense and it isn't for everyone.

Pros

The office environment is one-of-one (in the best of ways). Incredible team, Sales Directors being some of the best people and managers you could ask for. For the most part, the campaigns that are sold evolve in magnitude year by year. Skill and hard work are recognised and via proxy there are rewards. I want to emphasise the quality of the Sales Directors & Senior Partners - incredible mentors.

Cons

Without name dropping, there are communication problems from upper management.

Pros

I started working at SJH a few years back as I wanted to get a job in Sales. I found the training to be quicker than expected and management were patient with me whilst I found my feet, but they tend to be if you work hard. The projects are mainly based on the royal family, government institutions and luxury cars. The staff are all great and make it a good place to be. I have also had the opportunity to travel all over including the US for launch events which was fun. Like any performance related role, it is not an easy job but definitely a great place to learn a lot where you will get the opportunity to pitch huge global brands for the firm's campaigns and if you can book clients for the projects, the commission is very good.

Cons

It can be stressful if you are not closing business.
