Pros

Pays on time, provides lunch, provides housing, health insurance, and pension. One-way flight to Korea provided for those located outside of the country. The curriculum is provided and easy to follow for kindergarten and elementary level classes. The co-teachers are all very kind and will help you if you are proactive and ask a lot of questions. There is a limit to what you are allowed to know, and it is important to remember that the parents always come first in this business.

Cons

Demanding schedule, song and dance instruction required for kindergarten, no optional PTO, 10 days of PTO per year predetermined by the institution, no sick days, mandatory substitution hours to cover for absent coworkers, some mandatory weekend hours. Despite working together with foreigners as a major part of their business, there is not much overlap with Korean coworkers. It is a very insular society, and many people are xenophobic and have a hard time including new people. They are very used to people passing through, and everyone can be replaced in this business.
