I worked for SunSoft from July 2011-Jan 2013. They are really good company to work with. Very Prompt attention to my concerns, no delay in salaries and to be mentioned is their commitment towards their employees. I enjoyed working with SunSoft, LLC

Pros

Vidya and Nivetha are super great! They are very quick to reply to emails and very helpful in answering any questions. The logging process for hours and expenses is very easy and straight forward. Never had any issues. Good pay with overtime and expenses such as mileage, meals, lodging, equipment, etc are covered per the hiring agency (ADEQ in my case) policy. They are as flexible as your hosting agency and follow their rules with the addition of offering 24 hours of paid sick time, which isn't available immediately but is available faster than it accrues in non-contract work. Using it was as easy as emailing Vidya and letting her know I needed to use it. Though ADEQ doesn't offer their contractors state benefits, Sunsoft does offer some for purchase through the market (I didn't need to use since I use my spouse's). I was "head-hunted" for the position I was hired for, which was a pleasant surprise. I had applied to a couple of other positions at ADEQ that I didnt' end up being the right fit for. However, unknown to me, I was still in their system and Sunsoft found me in Adeq's system and contacted me for the Environmental Scientist contractor position. I'm so glad I took it because I ended up being a perfect fit and this is easily my favorite job I've ever had and I have now been brought on as a full timer in just 6 months! Sunsoft got my foot in the door and I will forever be thankful. Working with Vidya and Nivetha as great! They're hard workers and very good at what they do.

Cons

My only complaint isn't even with Sunsoft but with contracting in general: benefits. You have to purchase your own. This wasn't an issue for me but if I were single it might be. Just do your homework and look into the market options they offer. It isn't that expensive but it is more involved than choosing between an option or two in normal employment situations. One hesitation I had was that when I was initially contacted to interview for the contractor position, I wasn't sure if it was legitimate. I contacted ADEQ HR and after getting passed around a little I was able to verify that ADEQ does indeed use Sunsoft to recruit their contractor positions (there were a couple of company names involved which confused things at first).
