Pros
I've done a co-op with Safari AI in Fall, and returned for an internship the following summer.
Strong devotion to their internship program: The employees at Safari AI are the definition of "lead by example," and truly spurred my growth as an intern. Each engineer was patient but focused, with an eye on my growth. I had plenty of opportunities to work on exciting projects, many of which were client facing, and was frequently put in a position to truly contribute to company milestones and goals.
Startup culture: Exciting industry with a clear market for their product. Small team with a flat hierarchy—open communication and collaboration were highly valued. Work here was extremely rewarding, with a continuous feedback loop between employees and management.
Fast-paced growth: From a technical standpoint, I was amazed by the progress the company had made after returning for my summer internship. From tooling to pipelines, everything was more streamlined and developer-friendly.
WLB: Extremely flexible, as long as you're communicative and get work done.
