Pros

Work life balance is ok

Cons

The company culture is deeply problematic, with employees visibly expressing frustration in meetings whenever TPG is mentioned. Clients are frequently disrespected to the extent that nearly all TPG employees have been removed from specific projects and programs. Despite this, management continues to report these projects as resounding successes, often taking credit for work actually delivered by senior partner companies who have taken over the work. Salaries are significantly below industry standards, leading to an ongoing exodus of highly skilled employees. Many who leave find themselves earning nearly double their previous salaries elsewhere. Employees have been abruptly let go due to a lack of work, with their IT access immediately revoked. In many cases, their practice leads and line managers are not even informed until a week after their departure. The Science Group CEO has attended TPG meetings but, when questioned about staff retention or recruitment plans, has bluntly stated that there are none. Employees raising concerns or suggesting improvements are simply encouraged to leave, indicating that growth and development are not priorities for leadership. Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) have not been addressed in any forum or meeting for over two years. Likewise, there are no visible plans for sustainability or inclusivity within the company. Senior Leadership Team (SLT) communications are often misleading. Promotion panels have been repeatedly canceled at the last minute or subjected to sudden, restrictive criteria just days before submissions. For instance, employees have been informed they must be fully utilised on a project for the entire fiscal year to be eligible and demonstrate that there is a 100% guarantee that their current contract will last another 12 months (often out of the employees hands, and impossible to prove). Even receiving consistant recommendations for promotion from clients and project leads will not help career progression. SLT consistently avoids answering recurring questions about submission deadlines, only to later announce that the process has been canceled (after the original date stated). Social events of any kind have been banned, and interactions between colleagues outside of work are strongly discouraged. Since Science Group took over, even self-funded Christmas or summer gatherings are no longer allowed. Science Group has repeatedly taken actions that damage its reputation and alienate both employees and clients. Their first instinct is often to aggressively pursue minor issues or mistakes through litigation, leveraging their resources to inflict maximum harm. Reneging on deals and agreements is seen as an acceptable strategy to achieve their objectives leading to them no longer being trusted by major clients and industry.
