      Pros

      Interview process was difficult, but I really wanted the job because I was passionate and believed in the growth of the company. Got the job and was very excited to learn from all of the smart people there, although I also had at least 8 years of experience in my field. I was promised growth trajectory into a senior role as that was what I applied for initially and wasn’t hired initially for, and an also a voice at a fast paced growing start up company. It seemed all would be well. People were nice at first, I made some amazing friends. There were very fun events and the pay was decent for tech in Austin.

      Cons

      Extremely toxic environment, I should have seen it coming.. Expectations from management were basically to shut up or you’re out. No opinions allowed here. People started getting fired in waves for no reason, or because the founders didn’t like being told ‘no’ or having anyone disagree with them. Even if it was a great idea, and better for the business. I saw so many friends get fired this way over the course of only 1 year. Many people put in PIPs until they were either fired or so demoralized they got new jobs and left. Such a horrible way to treat your employees. And why?

      Pros

      Great people and a strong, positive company culture. It’s remote-first, collaborative, and supportive, which makes day-to-day work enjoyable. The product is fun to sell and work on, and the customer base is engaging and passionate. There is also a large opportunity in the market, which makes the mission feel meaningful and exciting.

      Cons

      Company growth has been relatively flat, which has limited opportunities for upward mobility and career progression over time.

      I've been at SamCart for almost six months now, and I feel incredibly blessed to be part of this company and team. At SamCart, we show up to win every day, but never at the expense of our health, home life, marriages, or families. Leadership truly prioritizes us as people first, and that, in turn, makes us want to give our very best effort. The culture is incredible—supportive, motivating, and human. Pros: -Fair compensation with thoughtful adjustments for inflation. -Outstanding benefits and a truly positive, uplifting culture. -Leadership who provides constructive feedback with kindness and recognition for great work. -The company equips us with the tools we need to succeed. -Quarterly in-person meetups that make remote work feel more connected. -Fast-moving, efficient teams dedicated to ensuring our clients' success. -A product I genuinely believe in

      None. I can't recommend SamCart enough and I’m so grateful to be part of it!
