Pros
Not a huge department, but operates like a large one. Fair home / work life balance unless your trying to get promoted or a special assignment. Most of the front line Supervision looks out for the employee, with the exception of a couple.
Cons
The work load is ridiculously high. Very high crime ghetto city. Typical rat race with plenty of favoritism. If you are part of the in crowd or close with someone that is, you have a decent chance of promotion. If not, good luck. A couple of very vindictive people in the administrative ranks.
