Switched owners and lost a lot of the overhead that was in place when I started. By the end, upper-level management consisted of engineers and got promoted and you could feel the lack in direction and leadership. Despite the vacuum of leadership, there was a distinct lack of mobility- our fearless leaders were under the impression developers would pick up the workload as the team got smaller and we wouldn't want any sort of compensation.
