Pros

Good amenities for the employees concerning food and beverages. Nice work space and comfortable accommodations for desks. Staff are friendly in general.

Cons

Technology and hardware are terribly maintained, IT staff are usually disgruntled. Turnover is high and staff constantly change positions. Overall quality not impressive.

Pros

Symbeo (formerly Scan One) is a great place to break into the tech industry because they hire people from a wide variety of backgrounds and the opportunity for advancement is immediately apparent. They hire from within. During the 18 months that I was with the company, I saw more people than I can count moving to different positions within the company. I was approached for a higher paying position after 5 months, the other person starting in my new department made a move after only a few weeks. If you think you might be interested in getting a variety of experiences by working in various positions, you will never have to wait long before an opportunity to move vertically or advance will come up.

Cons

The only con I can think of is that the benefit package was not very helpful. But the company makes up for that in a variety of ways. For example, the management is extremely flexible and supportive in working with employees unique needs and schedules.

Pros

* As others have mentioned, great colleagues who are genuinely interested in putting forth their best efforts. You will always find someone who's willing to help you learn new things. * Variety of entry level options and fairly frequent chances to move around or up if you're game for it. * Dedicated and hard-working management team across most departments. * Engaging work even if you're not very interested in accounting/accounts payable. * Some department if not all comp monthly public transportation, monthly catered lunches.

Cons

* Production side of company is very strictly controlled due to the nature of the work, however, has developed a reputation for harboring passive-aggressive management. * Company is owned by parent company CorVel, a healthcare industry corporation that offers its own employees very poor healthcare options. Also enforces small annual raises, which limits growth potential unless you change positions. * Staffing levels in most departments are kept to minimum levels, just barely enough to cover workloads.
