Do not sign a contract. - Systems Engineer ScoNet Employee Review

Pros

If you get lucky, you will be placed at client where you'll learn.

Cons

One of Sconet’s business strategy is to net young promising IT professionals at a lower rate, get them to sign into a binding 3-year contract, then collect margin when placed at a client. The employee will no longer have say in salary or career direction because the 3 year contract is 100% totally binding. You cannot leave for any reason whatsoever; not to go back to school, not to become an accountant, no reason. If you leave, they will 100% sue you and hope for a default judgement. Since the defendant is a young professional that is underpaid, it’s likely that a lack of maturity and finances hinder their chances to fight back.

We do regret if you had any issues with your employment agreement while working for us. Please note though the term of the agreement are always clearly communicated to new employees when they are hired, and it is then up to the employee as to whether they wish to sign the agreement or not. This only there for the protection of the employee and the company. We also ALWAYS work with an employee to release them from the agreement if they wish to move on to another opportunity, however some employees choose to simply break the agreement, which we would assume is the course of action you chose unfortunately.

Pros

There are some good employees here to learn from.

Cons

The owner of the company is an absolutely horrible person. He is a flat out narcissist. He lies to his employees and his clients about everything. Literally don't believe a single thing that ever comes out of this guy's mouth. He never keeps any promise he makes. He does only what is in the best interest of himself time and time again.
