Pros

Having joined in Feb 2024 as an employee the attraction to onboarding experience has been exceptional. Interview process was thorough (from both sides) and overall the HQ team area very collaborative, friendly and driven team who are all focused on ensuring the Setfords experience for clients and our consultant lawyers is first class. Great to join a culture like this and am already enjoying being an employee. 1st class working environment, free breakfast/lunch provided, (this is a phenomenal benefit and the food is fabulous), there is an onsite gym which is fitted out to the highest standard.

Cons

commute for me personally is a long one but i know what i signed up for, offset by flexibility of hybrid working

Pros

-Food - Good location if you’re taking public transport

Cons

- Litterally bottom of the food chain and managers make sure you feel like that - Very cold and toxic environment, no managers make you feel welcome or even say good morning (you have to earn the privilege of a good morning)it’s all very fake. - Heavy workload and no where to sit down so you have to sit on the floor and then get told off for doing that if a new consultant is touring the building. - staff turnover is crazily high and that makes a lot of sense.

Pros

Free food Free gym Is a job

Cons

Great if you are in a valued team in the company. A few departments get rewards and bonuses. For the lower levels do not bother. Admin and the Legal Secretaries there is no respect, the do not value anyone in those teams and the turn over rate is in credibly high. Little to no progression, they have people doing certain jobs and then refuse to give them the title or the pay rise. It is like being in school in the office 5 days a week set lunch times and zero leeway for doctors or dentist appointment. Not sick pay and a complete lack of understanding and support from management for any hardships or difficulties you might be experiencing outside of the office.
