Mostly nice co-workers and amazing kids! Standard Texas teacher benefits. Recent increases in base salary. Small town feel. Teaching schedule is perfect if you have kids.

Excessively conservative. Lots of recent leadership changes. My personal experience was pretty terrible. I was the subject of retaliation and experienced a toxic work environment after asking the leadership at my campus for a stipend for the extracurricular activity I was a sponsor for. Said leadership told me to keep track of my hours, and said I could “cash in” on those hours later. When I approached the leadership about this, I was told that I “only care about money and care nothing about kids.” Soon after, that leader yelled at my students and I was given the worst professional review of my career. Just 4 months later, I was just given a promotion at another education-focused employer. If you redacted my name from my employee review from March, and showed it to my current employer, they would not even know that that review by the ISD leadership was even me! It was the worst professional experience of my life.
