Pros
My manager provided the right balance of guidance and autonomy, empowering me to take initiative and flourish in my role. While setting clear expectations, they also gave me the flexibility to manage my own work and development. When new projects arose, they valued my contributions and pulled me in to participate, enabling me to expand my skills. Under their leadership, I was encouraged to take on new responsibilities and grow. Overall, their management style promoted trust, supported my growth as an employee, and allowed me to maximize my talents on impactful work.
Cons
The global pandemic required my internship to be cut short, unfortunately limiting the duration of the learning period. Under normal circumstances, I would have gained more extensive hands-on experience throughout a full-length internship program. However, in the reduced time I was still able to develop foundational skills and knowledge by working on [list projects/tasks]. I'm proud of the progress I made given the unusual circumstances, but recognize there is more growth I could have achieved in a traditional multi-month intern role. I remain eager to continue building on this abbreviated experience to keep advancing my competencies.
