Pros

Industry-Leading Flexibility: The trust at Shieldpay is a step ahead of almost any other firm I’ve seen. Management truly understands that life happens. Whether it’s school drop-offs, pickups, or last-minute childcare hurdles, they make it work. In a regulated environment, this level of autonomy is rare and incredibly valued. Empowerment: You are trusted to do your job where and when you want. There is no micromanagement regarding "bums in seats," which fosters a very mature working environment. Transparency: Leadership has made a genuine effort to be honest about the direction of the company and the state of the industry. I’ve read some of the recent comments here and, honestly, I feel they are a bit unfair. We are in an incredibly difficult economic climate right now—one where businesses much larger and more established than Shieldpay are struggling. It’s important to have some perspective. While no company is perfect, Shieldpay has tried to be honest with us. The flexibility here isn't just a perk; it’s a core part of the culture that management works hard to protect, even when things are tough.

Cons

Market Pressures: Like any company in this space right now, we aren't immune to the broader economic climate. This can lead to periods of high pressure and uncertainty as the business navigates external headwinds.

Pros

Working from home when u want

Cons

Everything. Shoddy company. Shoddy systems. This is only surviving on venture capital. If it had to take if the vc training wheels and fly on its own it would be a complete flop. There is no fancy tech. The automated payments that are being marketed to customers is done through asking someone with bank account access to make a payment via slack. Everything is painfully manual. Mistakes are constantly being made. Management dgaf they just get to pretend the company is excelling bc they want to keep their jobs. Probably the worst company I’ve worked for by far.
