Pros

Big promises with highly motivated management. Gives great pep talks to employees but managers are too young and inexperienced. Just because a person has put the time into the company doesnt automatically make them the best person for a leadership role.

Cons

Payroll isnt reliable, office and drivers went weeks waiting for paycheck. Managers believe cursing and swearing and threating to fire the staff will make them more productive employees. Wrong.

With upgrades to our payroll system and an increase to our payroll department, ShipEX has a proven track record of making sure our drivers and office employees are paid on time every week. ShipEX encourages employees that work hard and play hard, but we never use that mentality to threaten employees with termination to receive the best results. Our company does not tolerate abusive employees and we are not afraid to replace them immediately. We simply offer the best pay and the best benefits packages to get the best work out of our employees.

Pros

Salary pay, you know what you're getting every week. Paid health insurance for drivers Home time bank does not zero out after taking home time. Paid home time

Cons

Some of the DM's like to micromanage drivers Sometimes brokers call you to verify pickup and delivery. Occasionally DMs have unrealistic expectations of drivers, ignoring time available on driver's clock, not factoring in possible conditions such as weather and traffic.

While it may sometimes feel like close communication, our DMs are highly focused on operational needs and do not have the capacity to micromanage. Their role is to support drivers through strong communication, especially during key events like claims, accidents, or situations that naturally require more frequent updates. We also want to emphasize that trip planning and hours management are handled thoughtfully. While some plans may not seem to line up at first glance, trust that there is often a broader strategy in place — such as coordinating load swaps with other drivers — to keep freight moving and get you where you need to be safely and on time. Pros

Flat rate, daily pay, miles, good equipment, good recruiters.

Cons

dispatch is overseas, must use own devices for Elogs, dispatches, and anything else related to the work. Bonuses are supposed to be paid out when over certain miles. Per the math we should have had 3k, ended up with 225. Low weekly pay in comparison to pay per mile.
