Pros

Excluding the management, the majority of the team are genuinely lovely - so lovely I hope they soon escape and realise they’re worth much more than this place. The benefits are great but very much a disguise to cover the awful business behind it. Biggest pro was them letting me go through redundancy, it was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders and I’m now thriving in a 5 star company.

Cons

The toxic leadership team have no idea how to run a business or how to be a leader. I never received an employment contract. They don’t know how to manage people or even be legally compliant (I could easily take them to a tribunal and win if I had the time- but I’d much rather forget this place exists after leaving this review). The way they handle redundancy and any HR detail is entirely wrong, or doesn’t exist. As an FYI I was hired I January, created an entire system and the second it was complete I was made redundant with immediate effect in April, with no real explanation or awareness of their redundancy process (there was none) now in the last month I’ve seen them hire 4 new starters. Huge red flag. Very unstable business with egotistical leaders who haven’t a clue what they’re doing.

Pros

Shopblocks has a great culture alongside a large annual leave allowance. It’s an exciting place to work and no day is ever the same! Innovation and growth is part of the day to day and everyone’s ideas are welcomed.

Cons

One of the benefits is free breakfast which occasionally is running low when it gets to Friday…

Pros

Holiday allowance was decent - staff I worked with were great mates

Cons

This company boasts one of the highest staff turnovers I've ever seen. If that's not a glaring red flag, I don't know what is. The reasons are straightforward: lack of payment reviews, dismal work-life balance, and a profound lack of trust in their employees, evident in their laughable "work from home" policy.
