Pros

Responsive management, both immediate supervisors and corporate staff was a huge benefit for me. Providing adequate training and on-going support for a new leasing agent helped me become competent and confident quickly.

Cons

The pay was demeaning. Because Showe runs their properties with managers living on-site, there is literally no time off from work. Not only are you on call 24-7, you have little backup coverage because the rest of your regional team is in the same situation and feels very tied to their own property. Regional managers were clearly over-worked/underpaid. Only room for advancement was to a larger, crappier property with very little pay increase, so hard work did not appear to be rewarded in any way.

Pros

I’ve been learning a lot about property management. Working here has been a great opportunity to grow professionally, they offer excellent training. The schedule is flexible and a positive work/life balance is honored.

Pros

I enjoyed working with residents and learning about property management.

Cons

The manager rarely provided clear direction. making it difficult to handle tenant concerns. Maintenance requests took forever to be addressed, leaving employees to deal with frustrated residents. The leasing office was constantly understaffed, and employees had to juggle multiple roles without additional pay. There was no real opportunity for advancement, and raises were rare.
