Pros

Money is for the most part pretty good

Cons

Managers have never managed, served, or worked in a restaurant outside of hosting. You will constantly be micromanaged, judged, and talked down to. Managers are also the “hands-off” type. So don’t expect them to lift a finger. They’re essentially useless. Additionally, sushi chefs won’t take cuts, so if the servers do, you work hard while everyone else stands around and collects their share from the tip pool.

Pros

The steps of service are simple and repetitive, so after a short period it becomes second nature. The clientele is on the higher end of the spectrum, with a few celebs who are regulars but they are courteous and fun.

Cons

The sushi chefs can be difficult to work with, other staff behave like children. The ownership and management team are clueless, don't know what they are doing. It can be quite frustrating trying to work with them.
