Pros

Still a family owned business. A lot of community involvement, very important for a car business. There are a lot of very loyal longtime employees.

Cons

Upper management micro manages too much. Too many meetings. Managers are pulled away from there departments too much. Not enough individual consuling.

Pros

Family run business good work environment. Fair pay and benefits. Opportunities for advancement are available ,if your work ethic is good. There was modern equipment with safety a constant concern.

Cons

The automotive repair industry changed , with less personal interaction. More of a assembly line atmosphere, rather than personal attention.

Pros

Some very caring employees who still believe in the old days when the company was managed with concern and generosity by the original founder.

Cons

The common thread between employees is bad management and under pay. Typically managers, especially senior management make out like bandits. The only "family" of this dealership is the family that actually owns it. All of the rest are tools to an end. Typical process is an employee say in sales starts to make "too much money personally" according to senior management so that employee's contract gets renegotiated to allow company to make more of that rather than the employee. Continual contract changes must drive Payroll crazy. When you are support staff, consider yourself very lucky to get a $1 raise every couple years. Depends on your immediate manager. Some are old school and won't entertain a raise except once per year which you as the employee have to make a request for while other managers will take initiative and request for an employee's raise at any time based upon employee value and worth. Totally unfair to employees throughout the company. No single policy so employees in different departments are either lucky or penalized dependent on who they report to.
