      Pros

      The company has changed significantly for the better over the last year. A new management and product organization brought much more transparency and alignment across teams. Roadmaps, objectives, and strategic decisions are shared early, and engineering teams are involved from the beginning of the process rather than simply executing predefined requirements. This gives everyone a clear understanding of where the company is heading and why, which makes day-to-day work much more meaningful. From an engineering perspective, the technical environment is challenging and rewarding. There are plenty of opportunities to learn, solve complex problems, and work on products that have a real impact on customers. The company is also genuinely remote-friendly, with a strong culture of trust and autonomy. Benefits are competitive, and work-life balance is generally respected.

      Cons

      As with any ambitious company, there can sometimes be pressure to deliver, especially when working on strategic initiatives with tight timelines. We also still have to deal with some technical debt and historical decisions made before the recent organizational changes. While there is a clear willingness to improve things, addressing legacy challenges takes time.

      Pros

      I am very impressed with the innovative product team, sound leadership, and culture of autonomy to own and complete projects. The leadership is very accessible and engaged across functional groups-- great open-door policy. With their recent launch of SightCall VISION the growth potential and adoption of the Visual Assistance solution is very exciting! They have offices in Paris and Silicon Valley, both are very cool to visit ;) A big WIN for me was the sustainability impact the software has on global CO2 emissions. I think something like 1.7 million metric tons of CO2 is prevented from entering the atmosphere! All from helping humans solve problems remotely and preventing excess cars and trucks from driving around. You can feel good about the positive impact you are having on our planet while working at SightCall, which makes the work super rewarding for me. Removing waste from our planet one SightCall at a time.

      Cons

      The team as shrunk a bit to reorganize for strategic growth. There is a bit more of a start-up vibe at the company, and it can make the work-day less predictable (if that is something you are looking for). I like that there are more opportunities to engage in cross-functional projects if you are open to learning and getting your hands dirty.
