Pros
Silver Cloud has a small chain of hotels in the greater Seattle area. As an employee of this company I found that you really can get out of it what you are willing to put in. They did offer onboarding and training in a classroom setting in the corporate office. There you are pretty much handed a foot in the door to networking with people who run the show. If you work here long enough, you will meet and know everyone from the bottom to the top and know your operations officers and CEO and Owners. I applied for a front desk position, started as a supervisor and after a year was a Front Office Manager. I saw and knew others who progressed even more significantly. There are several long term employees who have loved there job and stayed with the company for a decade or more. This company was good to me and progressed my career path.
Cons
The company is/was owned by a lovely elderly couple who started the company in retirement. By elderly, I mean that they have practically lived two lifetimes. The wife sadly passed away and the future of the company on the whole is questionable without them. She was a driving force and I gave life to the properties, Point Ruston Silver Cloud being the product of her dreams.
