The company idea is great. The company execution on everything is bad

I worked for ST since 2016 as an independent contractor. This company ask 1099 employees to front money for travel and then doesn’t pay a travel stipend or food allowance. The company dropped any contract workers when the pandemic hit and then had people returning to travel with no health insurance and no actual care for safety during a major health crisis. Travel is booked this way: reservations made at the last minute and airplane seats next to the bathroom. Hotels suggestions are “whatever is cheapest” regardless of cleanliness or safety. Company expects 1099 employees to spend their own time and money traveling to stores on the road for no additional al compensation. Communication is poor and reimbursements take forever. This is a health and wellness company that sends employees into unsafe environments during a pandemic. Enough said.
