Pros
I've worked remotely for Simpler since getting hired, but they've somehow managed to make the company's culture resonate through the different communication channels we utilize. It's the only Job I've had where I've felt supported, encouraged to grow, not ashamed to express concerns, and as if I were part of a family. The HR team has always been helpful when I've had any questions, there are monthly team events (via zoom) that help us feel close to one another, there's a channel for parents (like myself) to share tips, experiences, photos of our kiddos, etc...
My managers have always listened to any questions or issues I've brought up, and they are more than understanding of the challenges that come with having a child and working from home.
The benefits are amazing!! We get a home office stipend, as well as a wellness stipend we can use for anything that makes us happy. They also help make payments toward my student loans, I have never worked for another company that does this. Insurance is great too.
We recently had one small in-person team summit, and they treated us so well. It was also nice to see that the relationships we built as a team from behind screens translated seamlessly in person. That's when you know you've got a winning culture.
One last thing I will add is that they promote from within as much as possible, and it's great to see people who work hard get the recognition they deserve.
Cons
I haven't experienced any downsides working for this company, we're a growing team and there are small challenges to overcome with such rapid growth; however, I wouldn't count any of them as cons.
