I joined Simply five years ago and was given the opportunity to step into a role despite not being a perfect on-paper match. The culture encourages initiative, independent thinking, and ownership, with good ideas taken seriously regardless of role or seniority. The people are strong professionally and genuinely kind, with low ego and minimal organizational politics. It is the best culture I have worked in.

This is not an environment for everyone. Simply is best suited for highly independent people who are comfortable with ambiguity, expected to lead end to end, and often work in multidisciplinary teams.

The process was clear and transparent – I received a detailed explanation upfront about the company and each stage, which helped me prepare properly. The experience felt pleasant and well-supported – there was always someone available to answer questions, with great responsiveness. The team was flexible and considerate – for example, arranging a Zoom interview while I was abroad to speed things up made a real difference. The technical interviews were diverse and engaging, especially the online task with Damian, which was creative, challenging, and thought-provoking. I really appreciated the meeting with Lital about the team’s workflow, which gave valuable insight into how the team operates day to day.

If possible, it would be helpful to include a meeting with the pod lead during the process to better understand the professional and team context.
