Pros
Sinclair Institute is a unique, interesting company with a family-like culture. The company has a strong foot in the past but are looking towards the future. Because it is a small group you'll have the opportunity to (and be expected to) fulfill multiple roles across platforms. It's a great way to expand your experience. It's a funny environment filled with funny people selling funny products...you've never sat in a product planning meeting like this before, I promise. It is a comfortable, mostly organized environment with nice people. Work can be challenging. Nice building. Felt like a family. People actually really cared about the company; they feel they're truly serving the greater good. It's great to be a part of that.
Cons
There is a constant struggle to produce better offers in order to increase sales so the doors stay open. Jobs have been cut significantly in the past few years, although the company seems to be on the upswing. There's a lack of communication between depts that would greatly benefit each. Because the company is very small there's not a lot of upward mobility. There can be a ton of work, requiring significant time after hours. Adhering to govt standards is time consuming and can be difficult.
