      Pros

      Bug-A-Salt is a fast-growing company and a wonderful place to work! We have an excellent work-life balance with top-notch benefits. The owners really cares about their employees. You may have to work late sometimes, but that is balanced with lots of company wide days off (the most of any company I've worked for). Overall, it's a fair tradeoff.

      Cons

      It's hard to write cons because I genuinely enjoy working at the company. If you're not a self-starter, or if you can't handle straightforward feedback and directions, this might not be a good fit. If you apply yourself, you'll go somewhere. and your extra effort will be noticed and rewarded.

      Pros

      Excellent products. Treat customers like gold. Founder keeps coming up with new inventions. The company is profitable and offers profit sharing and pension plan. Generous paid time off for employees including 2 weeks at Christmas. Dog-friendly office. Casual environment. Those who go above and beyond are rewarded.

      Cons

      To keep things profitable, low performers and employees not happy with the culture have to be weeded out quickly. This can be a drain at times but overall helps as it allows for the company to afford perks like profit sharing, bonuses, and 401K. Many customers have conservative, traditional values. This can be a turnoff for some on the front lines, but if you have thick skin or a good sense of humor its not an issue.

      The dogs are cute and that's it.

      If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. BUG-A-SALT (Skell Inc.) is such a poorly run company that upper management had to force employees to write positive reviews. If you're considering a position at this company, please do your homework and look at the positive reviews. Notice how they are all similar? Humiliation and threatening to terminate are all on the table at this company.
