Pros

You get to work with a lot of passionate, talented people who really care about what they do.

Cons

Management and communication are extremely poor, and the workload is overwhelming with little to no structure. There’s almost no transparency and equality around internal opportunities or career growth. Promotions and recognition are often pre-determined and depend more personal connections with leadership or management than on actual merit, experience, or qualifications. It’s very unprofessional and discouraging, don’t expect to be considered for growth if you don’t have the right connections. It’s also frustrating to see how easily empty promises are made, creating an overall unprofessional environment. Mid-level managers tend to manage upward well but often fail to communicate effectively or support their teams. They frequently ignore feedback and ideas that could improve processes and workflows. Additionally, the numerous layoffs have only added to the overall sense of uncertainty and instability.

good perks, weekly pizza credit

Cons

The same cycle repeat over and over again, frequent leadership change, every few months there’s a new GTM strategy or initiative, and then it changes again when it doesn’t work, and they left. At this point people are just lost, priorities and goal shift so often, hard to know what actually matters anymore. decision maker doesn’t seem to bother to learn about the market, customers, or even the product. A lot of decisions feel disconnected from reality. mid management just blindly follow whatever the top push out, they can’t even explain and justify. The product is one of the most expensive pos systems out there, but also the most unstable one. Instead of fixing that, the focus is constantly on new processes, internal changes, layoff that don’t solve the core issues. It just recently shift toward a very high-pressure, almost “car dealership” style sales approach to push sales through (we are a software company by the way) without really addressing the product, support, pricing, or GTM strategy. When things go wrong, blame often gets passed between teams instead of looking at the bigger picture. Multiple rounds of layoffs over the years across teams, and morale is low. People are tired and many are just trying to keep up and lost at some point. They let people go for no reason sometimes, they already posting “future territory manager” when we already have managers in place for those markets, Very scary!
