You’ve never seen such a bad company - Senior Data Engineer Slower Employee Review

Pros

You will get most of your paycheck.

Cons

Manipulation and nonstop gaslighting from CEO and GM. Bonuses are never paid. Last paycheck is never paid. “25%” employee retention is something they take pride in as “they have better engineers than Google” and they only select “the best of the best”. I was told in a brief meeting at 12pm that today is my last day. CEO said he “does not care at all about my work life balance”.

Pros

Lots of large projects and new tech.

Cons

Some of the BUs are start up environments and not perfect for people who like large CO.

Pros

You may get an accurate paycheck

Cons

If you’ve ever dreamed of working somewhere that confuses chaos for innovation, you’re in luck. This company markets itself as being in “stealth mode,” which is a clever way of saying they don’t have a website, a product roadmap, or basic internal systems. But don’t worry, they do have a PDF about becoming a “100x engineer” that reads like it was written by someone trying to join a tech-themed cult. Leadership is enthusiastic, especially about making big promises they don’t intend to keep. Expect ever-changing goals, frequent pivots with no explanation, and just enough buzzwords to make it sound like something is happening. Spoiler: it’s not. There’s no HR team. You’re asked to email your questions to a generic address, which feels more like a suggestion box that leads to a void. If you run into issues with your paycheck or benefits, good luck. Responses range from “we’re looking into it” to complete silence, with occasional appearances from mysterious “technical issues”. You’ll likely hear exaggerated claims about headcount, growth, and market dominance. Fun fact: you’re expected to believe thousands of employees exist somewhere, yet every candidate somehow gets interviewed by the same person. It’s impressive how far confidence and repetition can carry a story. Titles are vague, responsibilities are even vaguer, and the company strategy feels like it was outlined on a napkin during a networking event. No accountability from "leadership". They have excuses for everything, and someone's always "working on it", yet nothing ever gets done. No wonder they can't keep their employees or pay their bills. Run as fast as you can, and tell all your friends too.
