Pros

I enjoyed working here, I was able to thrive within the leadership I received from my direct supervisor.

Cons

As with any startup, the beginning was chaotic but that's to be expected. The company matured quickly.

It's encouraging to read that you're thriving with the guidance of your supervisor because we take pride in having effective leaders who truly develop team members. Thanks for hanging in there through the initial chaos! And, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback.

Pros

Decent entry-level job for gaining experience in 12-volt electronics and automotive installation.

Cons

Since the hedge fund acquisition, the company has entered a downward spiral. There has been a noticeable shift toward prioritizing metrics and bottom-line profits over employee retention and customer service. The family atmosphere is almost gone, replaced by cost-cutting measures. While Smart Start used to be an innovator, it is now lagging behind; technicians are forced to rely on what seems to be 20+ year-old device tech and a clunky, outdated Java-based legacy application.
