Pros

Everyone that works at Smartwebs is kind, knowledgeable, and cares about the product and client experience. I genuinely could not ask for a better group of people to work with. Work-life balance is great and pay is good. The interview process involved a video meeting with the hiring manager, then an in-person meeting with the hiring manager, president, and CEO. Throughout, everything was communicated well and was very straightforward, with the hiring and onboarding processes being a similar experience.

Cons

Benefits could be better but aren't unreasonable given the company's size. With that said, they seem to be trending in the right direction.

Pros

No Pros besides the sweet Executive Assistant who tried her best to make everyone happy.

Cons

As the title says, they make us do a review as soon as we start so we can boost their Glassdoor rating, so take these "positive" reviews with a HANDFUL of salt. No Health insurance, and the supplemental plan is expensive and useless. No work life balance, the managers text you on your personal phone constantly and invite you to their church every Sunday, almost pressuring you. One WFH day per week even though they advertise the job as hybrid, unless you are a favorite of the exec teams then rules don't apply to you and you can work whenever and wherever you want. The product is terrible and we are constantly fixing problems that could've been avoided had our CEO not made promises to specific people that he couldn't keep, or if we actually fixed bugs in our releases. The QA manager is very rude, abrasive, and sarcastic, making it an unwelcome work environment, and no one offers much help after only a week of training. Most of the team is overseas and that poses a problem too as they disconnect in the middle of our day and it leaves us further in the dark about what to do. Overall, it was a headache working here and I am glad to be gone as most of my other coworkers stateside are planning to leave as well.
